Our Partners
Great reclaimed lumber operations are built on great partnerships. From demolition crews to architectural firms, non-profits, and logistics providers — our network makes sustainable material recovery possible at scale.

A Network Built for Circularity
Reclaimed lumber does not appear out of thin air. Every board foot we sell started its second life as part of a building someone was tearing down, a barn someone was dismantling, or a factory floor someone was replacing. Getting that material from its first life to its second requires a coordinated network of partners — demolition companies willing to pause before they swing the excavator, architects willing to specify something other than the catalog standard, and logistics providers capable of moving heavy loads on short notice.
We have spent 15 years building that network. The partnerships below are not sponsorship arrangements or marketing relationships. They are operational dependencies — companies and organizations without whom our supply chain would not function. We share them here because our clients deserve to understand where their lumber comes from and who makes it possible.
Demolition Company Partnerships
Demolition contractors are the front line of reclaimed lumber supply. We work with licensed demo firms across Southern California to intercept lumber before it enters the waste stream — turning their disposal cost into a revenue opportunity and keeping thousands of board feet out of landfills every week.
What We Buy from Demolition Sites
Fast Site Assessments
We dispatch an estimator within 48 hours of a demo permit approval. No waiting weeks for a salvage quote — we move on your timeline.
Revenue on Material
We purchase usable lumber and timber directly from your site, turning a waste-disposal cost into a revenue line item on every eligible project.
Documentation for Green Compliance
We provide certified waste-diversion letters, weight tickets, and chain-of-custody records that satisfy CALGreen Section 4.408 and LEED MR requirements.
Site Cleanout Speed
Our crew can pre-pull high-value lumber before your wrecking equipment arrives, reducing the total debris volume by up to 30% and speeding your site clearance timeline.
Repeat Business Priority
Partner demolition companies receive priority scheduling, fixed pricing schedules, and a dedicated account contact. No re-negotiating on every job.
Zero Liability Transfer
We carry full general liability insurance and our salvage operations meet OSHA 29 CFR 1926 requirements. Material liability transfers to us upon pickup.
Architectural Firm Collaborations
We work with over 120 architectural and interior design firms across Southern California, providing material samples, specification support, LEED documentation, and inventory holds that make reclaimed lumber a practical — not aspirational — specification choice.
Custom Specification Support
We work directly with your specifications to identify available reclaimed species that meet your material schedule. We provide grain, color, and character samples before you commit.
LEED Documentation Package
Full MR Credit documentation including recycled content percentages, regional material sourcing radius compliance, and FSC chain-of-custody letters for all materials supplied.
Mock-Up Boards
We ship sample boards in your specified size and profile so your client can see and feel the exact material before the order is placed — at no charge for registered design partners.
Material Hold Agreements
Reserve inventory for up to 90 days under a signed letter of intent. Eliminate the risk of losing a species between schematic design and construction documents.
Site Visits & Showroom Access
Bring clients to our Commerce, CA yard for a hands-on selection experience. Our team walks you through the inventory, explains each species, and helps match material to your project palette.
BIM & Spec Library Entries
We provide Revit-compatible material entries, CSI-formatted specifications (Section 06 05 73), and shop drawing support for exposed beam and custom milling applications.
Design Partner Program
Our Design Partner Program is free to join for licensed architects and certified interior designers. Partners receive trade pricing, priority inventory access, dedicated account support, and co-marketing opportunities. We currently have 42 active Design Partners across the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego markets.
Apply for Design Partner Status →Non-Profit Partners
Our commitment to the community extends beyond diverting lumber from landfills. We partner with non-profit organizations whose missions align with sustainable resource use, workforce development, and community building across Greater Los Angeles.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles
We donate reclaimed lumber annually to Habitat for Humanity Greater LA for use in their ReStore building material retail stores and direct construction projects. Qualifying material includes dimensional lumber, plywood, and finish boards that meet their acceptance standards. In 2024, we donated over 12,000 board feet valued at approximately $18,000.
TreePeople
TreePeople is a Los Angeles-based urban forestry non-profit focused on sustainable watershed management and urban tree canopy expansion. We co-sponsor their annual Urban Forest Summit and contribute reclaimed material for their demonstration garden and educational facility at Coldwater Canyon Park.
LA Conservation Corps
We partner with the LA Conservation Corps to provide paid apprenticeship opportunities in lumber processing, de-nailing, and basic millwork operations. Corps members rotate through our facility on six-week cycles, earning a WWPA lumber grading credential upon completion. Since 2019, we have hosted 34 apprentices through this program.
Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI)
LACI connects us with emerging sustainable materials startups and provides access to their network of corporate and municipal sustainability officers. Our participation in LACI's Supply Chain Decarbonization Working Group has led to two new major commercial account relationships.
Southern California Salvagemasters Guild
The Salvagemasters Guild is a regional network of deconstruction contractors, salvage professionals, and material resellers. We serve on their board and participate in their shared material listing platform, which connects sellers with buyers across a five-county area.
FSC-Certified New Lumber Suppliers
Our core business is reclaimed and recycled lumber, but we maintain relationships with FSC-certified new lumber suppliers for projects that require species or dimensions not currently available in reclaimed stock. All new lumber we supply carries full FSC chain-of-custody certification.
| Material Category | Supplier | FSC Certificate | Region |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Douglas Fir (West Coast) | Pacific Coast Lumber Co. | FSC-C012345 | Oregon |
| New White Oak | Appalachian Hardwood Mills | FSC-C054321 | West Virginia |
| New Hard Maple | Northern Hardwood Cooperative | FSC-C098765 | Michigan |
| New Redwood (deck) | Humboldt Sawmill Partners | FSC-C011223 | Northern California |

Why We Carry New FSC Lumber
Reclaimed stock is always our first preference, but project specifications sometimes require species, moisture content tolerances, or quantities that our current reclaimed inventory cannot satisfy. Rather than sending clients to a big-box store with no chain-of-custody documentation, we supply FSC-certified new lumber as a fully transparent alternative. Every new lumber sale is documented separately from reclaimed sales so clients always know exactly what they received.
