Why Choose Reclaimed?

80% Less Carbon Footprint

Reclaimed lumber requires no new tree harvesting, dramatically reducing the carbon impact of your project.

Superior Character & Quality

Old-growth timber is denser, stronger, and more beautiful than modern fast-growth lumber. The patina and grain patterns are irreplaceable.

Diverts Waste from Landfills

Over 20 million tons of construction debris enter US landfills yearly. We keep usable lumber out of the waste stream.

LEED & Green Building Credits

Using reclaimed materials can earn LEED points for your project, meeting sustainability requirements for commercial builds.

What Our Customers Say

From small custom furniture builds to multi-story commercial projects, here's what LA builders and designers say about working with GreenBoard Reclaimed.

We specified reclaimed Douglas Fir for a 14,000 sq ft restaurant buildout in Silver Lake. GreenBoard matched our spec on character grade, delivered on schedule, and provided the full LEED documentation our client needed. That's a rare combination.

Marcus Delgado

Principal, Delgado Architecture Studio

Restaurant buildout, Silver Lake CA

I've been building custom furniture in East LA for 11 years and GreenBoard is the only reclaimed supplier I trust for heart pine. The grading is honest, the moisture content is where they say it is, and the team actually knows wood. That matters.

Priya Okonkwo

Owner, Okonkwo Woodworks

Custom furniture production, Los Angeles CA

We demolished a 1940s industrial complex in Vernon and GreenBoard handled the entire lumber buy-back. They were at the site within 24 hours, made a fair offer, and cleared the material on our schedule. Worked seamlessly with our demo crew.

Tom Berringer

Operations Manager, Pacific Coast Demo Inc.

Industrial demolition, Vernon CA

As a LEED consultant I've worked with dozens of suppliers and GreenBoard stands out for documentation quality. Their impact summary letters are exactly what auditors want to see — methodology cited, factors explained, contact info for verification. Professional.

Sandra Kim

LEED AP BD+C, Verdant Consulting Group

LEED Gold commercial office, El Segundo CA

GreenBoard supplied the reclaimed redwood for our entire deck and pergola project. The boards were clean, properly dried, and the character was exactly what I wanted — real weathering and history, not artificially distressed. Couldn't be happier.

James Whitfield

Homeowner

Residential deck & pergola, Pasadena CA

We've used GreenBoard on three restaurant sets in the last two years. They understand production timelines, will-call is easy, and their inventory of aged barn wood and industrial planks is genuinely impressive. Highly recommend for film and TV work.

Built for Los Angeles

Los Angeles is one of the most active construction and demolition markets in North America, generating an estimated 2.1 million tons of construction and demolition debris annually. The region's building stock spans over a century — from 1910s Craftsman bungalows to 1960s mid-century commercial buildings to 1990s industrial tilt-ups — each era yielding different species and grades of reusable lumber.

GreenBoard Reclaimed's Commerce facility sits at the geographic center of the LA Basin's demolition and construction activity. We are within 20 miles of Downtown Los Angeles, Culver City, Long Beach, Pasadena, and the San Gabriel Valley — meaning faster site response times, shorter haul distances, and lower transportation emissions than any out-of-region supplier.

The Los Angeles green building market is one of the most regulation-forward in the country. LA's Sustainable City pLAn, the CALGreen Tier 2 requirements, and the LADBS Green Building Program all create strong incentives for specifying reclaimed materials. Our team stays current on every local code update that affects reclaimed material eligibility.
